Today, our Executive Director @OdetteMukansoro and Minister @DrDamascene joined the leadership of the Rwanda Correctional Service (@RCS_Rwanda) in closing the third phase of training for inmates preparing to complete their sentences for crimes related to the Genocide against the Tutsi 1994.

This three-week training took place at Nyamasheke Correctional Facility (@Nyamasheke) and was attended by 608 male inmates. The families of these inmates also participated in the closing ceremony.

The objective of this training is to prepare inmates to reintegrate into society as dignified Rwandans, to give them the opportunity to rebuild themselves and contribute to the development of the country, to remind them of values that promote unity and resilience among Rwandans, to encourage them to stand against genocide denial and distortion of Rwanda’s history, and to help them actively participate in national development.
